Our system could very well be the best professional teeth whitening system on the market today. Initially developed for spas and salons, it’s so efficient and effective that dentists worldwide now offer it to their patients as an alternative to power whitening or custom trays.
What Does Teeth Whitening Do?
The system is a professional light-activated teeth whitening system that combines the strongest, freshest gels with our high-powered Futura™ 2400 blue LED teeth whitening light.
The basic system utilizes our proprietay 16% hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening gel that is highly effective yet safe for sensitive teeth. The gel is too strong to use with whitening trays so we use the original paint-on system in which the gel is carefully brushed onto the teeth with a built-in pen style applicator brush. Soft mouth tissue is protected with the use of a cheek retractor and vitamin e swabs.
We recommend three back-to-back applications of 10-20 minutes each. The first application mostly just opens the pores in the enamel. The second application begins to visually whiten the teeth, and dramatic whitening results are achieved during the third application. We recommend following up with a take-home kit or pen to prevent color regression and further enhance the results. And finally, we recommend the Minerals Enamel Booster to seal in the results, alleviate any tooth sensitivity they may experience (if any), and to remineralize and strengthen their enamel.
Our system is customizable for special situations. For example, we offer non-peroxide gels and 6% hydrogen peroxide gel for countries with restrictions on peroxide. The system may also be used with trays pre-filled with carbamide peroxide gel with very good results.

CARBAMIDE PEROXIDE VS HYDROGEN PEROXIDE
Carbamide peroxide vs hydrogen peroxide for teeth whitening? That is the question. Well, let us give you the answer!
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a powerful bleaching agent that rapidly penetrates tooth enamel to lift stains. Carbamide peroxide (CH6N2O3) must break down into hydrogen peroxide in order to lift stains. Therefore, it takes longer to work and results are not as dramatic for the same length of application time. Hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide have a 3:1 ratio. So 36% carbamide peroxide is theoretically equal to only 12% hydrogen peroxide, plus the reaction time is slower.
The type of gel, carbamide peroxide vs hydrogen peroxide, plus the concentration of the gel is what determines effectiveness, potential for irritation or tooth sensitivity, how long results last, and how often it can be used.
Note: Some countries restrict the use of peroxide for teeth whitening. We have peroxide-free and EU-compliant products for these countries.
25% to 38% Hydrogen Peroxide Gel
Dentists use hydrogen peroxide gel for in-office teeth whitening because it gives the best and fastest results. However, hydrogen peroxide can cause tooth sensitivity and irritation of the soft tissue of the mouth. Therefore, dentists are the only professionals allowed to use whitening gels with high concentrations for H2O2. Typically, dentists use maximum strength gels with H2O2 concentrations ranging from 25% to 38% and they use them with a gingival barrier and cheek retractor to protect lips and gums. This type of treatment is called a “Power Whitening” and can be performed up to once a year. Example: Pro Whitening Kit
Up to 16% Hydrogen Peroxide Gel
Non-dental teeth whitening professionals can also offer hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening treatments but only in mid-strength concentrations of up to 16%. This is what is typically used in 1 hour laser teeth whitening. Our system uses a 16% H2O2 gel with FANTASTIC results. The gel is too strong to put into a mouth tray, where it could get on the gums and lips, so it is applied by carefully “painting” it directly on the fronts of the teeth only with an applicator pen and using a cheek retractor to keep tissue away from the gel. This type of treatment is commonly referred to as “Cosmetic Whitening” or “Laser Whitening” and can be performed up to once every six months. Example: Advanced Whitening Kit
22% to 44% Carbamide Peroxide Gel
Some teeth whitening operators prefer to use pre-filled mouth trays for their laser teeth whitening treatments. In this case, because they are using mouth trays, they have to opt for carbamide peroxide teeth whitening gel in concentrations of 22% to 44%. However, used in conjunction with a high powered teeth whitening light, satisfactory results are being achieved. This method is also perfect for touch-ups or maintenance treatments and can be performed up to once every three months. Example: Preloaded Tray Kit.
Carbamide peroxide is the safest gel to use for home teeth whitening. It takes much longer, but eventually great results can be achieved. Most home whitening kits and pens contain 22% to 44% carbamide peroxide gel with 36% being the standard. People with extremely sensitive teeth and gums should opt for 22% and people with less sensitivity can go up to 44%.
The key to using carbamide peroxide gel for teeth whitening is consecutive applications of the whitening gel with no more than 24 hours between treatments. Continue the consecutive applications until the desired results are achieved and for a maximum of 14 treatments or two weeks of daily treatments. A complete whitening treatment with multiple applications such as this can be performed at home up to once every three months. However, a single 30-60 minute application can be performed monthly for maintenance purposes. Example: Deluxe Home Whitening Kit
Teeth Whitening Gel with NO Peroxide
For countries that restrict the use of peroxide, teeth whitening gels that contain or release less than 0.1% peroxide. These gels give visible results quickly but the results do not last as long. Since they are gentler on tooth enamel, they can be used more often. Our non-peroxide gels can be used every month and are available for professional and home use. Example: Non-Peroxide Whitening Kit

The Importance of Results
It is in your best interest to have the best teeth whitening results you can get. Why? Because everybody deserves a better smile. A teeth whitening treatment that delivers great results will help you achieve success.
Anyone who has ever used our Advanced Whitening Kit will confirm that it gives the best results in the industry. (Note: Remember that this kit uses 16% hydrogen peroxide, the strongest gel in the beauty industry, and it is self-applied directly to the teeth while wearing a cheek retractor. Everyone else uses carbamide peroxide gels.)
Beware of “Fast-White” Claims
Beware of promises for “15-minute” teeth whitening. The results from “Fast-White” systems or those claiming such results are always poor compared to those of professional systems that use 2-3 teeth whitening sessions. If you have ever whitened your teeth, you will know that you see some results after one session, but this is mostly just the “pores” of the teeth opening up and the effects are not long lasting. You really should do 2-3 sessions of professional teeth whitening to get the best and longer lasting results. Each “session” equals 10-20 minutes of 16% H2O2 gel and the Futura 2400 teeth whitening light. Here’s how it works:
1st Session: Opens the pores of the enamel allowing the whitening gel to penetrate the teeth but very little if any whitening occurs.
2nd Session: Gel is able to quickly penetrate tooth enamel now that the pores are open and some visible whitening will occur.
3rd Session: Maximum whitening results are achieved during the third session.
This is because the bleaching agent takes time to travel through the enamel of your teeth to bleach the stained dentin below. The dentin gives your teeth the natural bone or white color you see. That’s what you really want to whiten. When you do only one whitening session you are really just whitening the enamel and the results won’t be that long lasting. If you take the time to do the teeth whitening process properly, with two to three 15 minute sessions with a professional system, you will whiten the dentin correctly and get the best teeth whitening results that will last for a long time.
